Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Indiana. You will evaluate patients, create individualized treatment plans and provide therapy designed to restore function, prevent disability and maximize independence and quality of life after illness, injury, or surgery.

You will collaborate with physicians, families and an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care, educate patients and caregivers, and document progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Indiana, or eligibility for Indiana licensure.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients to determine occupational therapy needs.
• Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on referrals, evaluations and patient goals.
• Establish realistic, measurable goals to improve function and quality of life.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy treatments using appropriate procedures and equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans, goals, outcomes and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, referral sources and other healthcare professionals.
• Lead or direct the activities of COTAs, therapy assistants and interns as appropriate.
• Accurately document evaluations, treatments and patient progress in the medical record.
