Job summary

Adventist Health Simi Valley is seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan and conduct treatment segments that restore physical, social and mental functions, while co-leading interdisciplinary patient groups. You will evaluate, treat, discharge plan and document care within a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or D OT), state licensure and CPR/BLS certification, with a preference for two years of OT experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) is required; only if obtained license after 2007; or foreign equivalent.
• Two years' occupational therapy experience is preferred.
• OT licensure in state of practice is required.
• CPR or BLS certification from approved vendor is required.

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention.
• Provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques.
• Establishes individualized care and discharge plans and ensures plans are communicated to appropriate parties.
• Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
• Supervises assigned assistants.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
