Job summary

The role requires NY licensure, NBCOT, and AHA-BLS within 6 months. Strong communication with patients, families, and the rehabilitation team is essential across inpatient, outpatient, SNF, and sub-acute settings.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid NYS Occupational Therapy license and NBCOT registration.
• AHA-BLS is required within 6 months of hire or a current non-AHA-BLS card will be honored up to renewal.
• Complete accurate and legible documentation as per established guidelines.
• Ability to evaluate and treat all age groups across inpatient, outpatient, SNF and sub-acute settings.
• Ability to communicate treatment plans, anticipated participation, and outcomes with patients and caretakers.

Responsibilities

• Complete Occupational Therapy assessments and plan/treat accordingly.
• Implement treatment programs and reassess patient status to maximize function.
• Document outcomes accurately per guidelines.
• Communicate plans and progress with patients, caretakers, and Rehabilitation team.
