Job summary

Terrace of Kissimmee is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to plan, implement and evaluate progressive therapy programs that enhance residents’ physical, psychological, social, and economic well being. You will supervise therapy assistants and ensure care aligns with regulations.

The role involves assessing patients, developing goals, coordinating with the health care team, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a BS degree.
• Must hold NBCOT certification and Florida state licensure.
• Must have fieldwork experience in geriatrics or hospital acute/sub-acute/rehab.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills; able to follow directions clearly and efficiently.
• Proficiency with MS Office and standard office equipment; CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess client history and perform thorough assessments; document results.
• Plan, implement and communicate treatment goals to client and family.
• Coordinate with health care team for discharge planning and transfers.
• Implement plan of care and document daily interventions.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust plans as needed; maintain regulatory compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
