Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist for its Rehabilitation Services – Inpatient department located in Manchester, NH. The role focuses on delivering rehabilitative services in acute and outpatient settings within a large, multi-discipline team.

The OT evaluates, plans, and implements treatment programs, partnering with patients and the care team to maximize function and discharge outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. NH licensure is required.
• CPR certification required or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for patient evaluation by reviewing medical records and identifying focus areas.
• Evaluates therapy needs and develops a written plan of care with short- and long-term goals.
• Updates treatment plan and communicates with referrer and clinicians.
• Establishes discharge plans and instructs patient and family in home exercise strategies.
• Provides supervision of therapy assistants and other staff involved in care.
• Participates in clinical development and education activities within the department.
