Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the relevant state.

Responsibilities

• Interprets referrals and evaluates the patient's physical, perceptual, cognitive, social, and vocational abilities and their impact on daily living.
• Establishes a plan of care and implements individualized treatment to improve functional independence; fabricates assistive devices as needed.
• Plans for discharge, provides home programs and teaching, and coordinates with community services.
• Documents care per policy and accreditation standards, including evaluations, notes, reports, and billing records.
• Maintains equipment, ensures safety, and promotes patient safety by following infection control procedures.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and manages caseload with coverage planning.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and orients new staff to policies.
