Job summary

Recover-Care seeks an experienced Registered Occupational Therapist to assess and treat patients, helping them reach maximum functional levels and reintegrate into the community. You will evaluate patients, design individualized therapy, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a SNF setting.

Expect to document thoroughly, provide energy conservation and safety guidance, and mentor support staff while promoting patient independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program (Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate).
• Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Proficiency with applicable state and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Administers and writes evaluations of assigned patients.
• Maintains timely and accurate patient records and reports.
• Directs support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.
• Administers treatment programs to increase functioning.
• Designs individualized therapy for adults with learning disabilities.
• Provides prevention therapy and teaches energy conservation and safety techniques.
• Develops home programs and trains patients or families to implement them.
• Participates in patient support groups with the team.
