Job summary

DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan in Detroit, MI is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat patients using standard OT procedures. The role involves planning and implementing therapy programs to enhance motor, sensory, cognitive, and interpersonal skills, with documentation of progress and discharge summaries.

The OT will collaborate with attending physicians to set therapy goals, supervise assistants and students, and participate in interdisciplinary team conferences

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Occupational Therapy required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan.
• NBCOT certification or eligibility for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients using standard occupational therapy procedures.
• Evaluates motor and neurological capabilities and documents findings.
• Plans and executes OT programs to improve independence and productivity.
• Oversees OT assistants and students as assigned and co-signs notes.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
