Job summary

Detroit Medical Center in Detroit is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients under supervision, developing and implementing programs to improve motor, sensory, cognitive and functional independence. You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to align goals with diagnoses and ensure quality care.

The role requires an OT degree, state licensure in Michigan, NBCOT certification, and a commitment to professional growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Three years of clinical experience.
Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan.
NBCOT certification.
Minimum of 60 points on the professional growth and development criteria.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients using standard occupational therapy procedures.
Develop and implement OT programs to enhance motor, sensory, cognitive and interpersonal skills.
Prepare treatment plans and document evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries.
Mentor staff and educate OT assistants, aids, students or volunteers as assigned.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
