Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to develop and conduct occupational therapy programs that support rehabilitation goals for residents. The OT will coordinate with the rehab team to select effective activities and monitor progress, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.

The position offers opportunities for full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules with benefits and potential overtime. Licensure in New York and certification eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state.
• Registered and/or eligible for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, sets goals, implements treatment plans, and documents services.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices and trains residents in their use.
• Selects activities suited to individual capacity and interest.
• Consults with rehabilitation team to tailor activity programs.
• Instructs residents and tracks progress in rehabilitative potential.
• Adapts programs to individual needs and participates in care meetings.
• Requisitions supplies and maintains equipment as needed.
• Supervises supportive personnel and ensures quality of care.
