Sterling Therapy Providers in Wisconsin is seeking an Occupational Therapist to organize and conduct therapy programs, restoring independence and daily functioning for residents. The role focuses on rehabilitation techniques that improve motor and cognitive skills and require adherence to safety and documentation standards.

You will design treatment plans, train residents in adaptive devices (splints/orthotics), and collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select the most effective

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management abilities required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• OT licensure and certification eligibility as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents and develops treatment goals and plans with documentation.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices and trains residents in use.
• Selects activities suited to each resident's capacity and interest.
• Consults with rehab team to choose appropriate activity programs.
• Instructs residents in skills for participation and assesses progress.
• Adapts programs to individual resident needs.
• Participates in resident care conferences and related meetings.
• Conducts training programs for staff in OT techniques.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment as needed.
• Maintains and reports on equipment condition and needs for repair.
• Supervises support staff per state and professional standards.
• Ensures high quality of service in a compassionate environment.
