Job summary

Providence Seward Medical Center in Seward, AK is hiring an Occupational Therapist for mostly outpatient long-term care (about 80%) and swing bed acute care (about 20%). The position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, day shift, 40 hours per week, with a $5,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating OT services for inpatients, outpatients, Home Health clients, and long-term care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's or Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy required.
• Alaska OT license required upon hire.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate OT services per AOTA guidelines.
• Provide OT services to inpatients, outpatients, Home Health, long-term care residents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure compliant, high-quality care.
• Work across outpatient and swing-bed acute care settings as described in the role.

We are hiring for Occupational Therapist positions at Providence Seward Medical Center, a critical access hospital in Seward, AK!

The position will be responsible for mostly outpatient long term care (about 80% of the time) and swing bed acute care (about 20% of the time).

Currently available schedules: full time, 1.0 FTE, Day shift, 40 hours per week.

$5,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Assesses, plans implements, and evaluates occupational therapy services within the guidelines established by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Provides services to inpatients, outpatients, Home Health clients, long term care residents. Collaborates with other team members to plan and provide important aspects of care, in compliance with medical center standards and guidelines established by the American Occupational Therapists Association in conjunction with regulatory requirements of both federal and state agencies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree - Occupational Therapy or,

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years - Experience in subspecialty.
