Job summary

The Delmar Gardens North in Florissant, MO is seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist to care for residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. You will evaluate residents, set realistic rehab goals, and collaborate with a broad care team to coordinate activities and therapies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Missouri Occupational Therapy license.
• Excellent communication, computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to supervise COTA and collaborate with an inter-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate residents' physical and mental abilities and determine rehabilitation goals.
• Evaluate residents' progress and prepare progress reports.
• Consult with inter-disciplinary team to coordinate therapy activities.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
• Ensure evaluations and progress notes are completed timely.

Job Duties

• Test and evaluate residents' physical and mental abilities and analyze medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for residents
• Evaluate residents' progress and prepare reports that detail progress
• Consult/collaborate with inter-disciplinary team to select activity programs or coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant(s)
• Ensure evaluations and progress notes are done in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned
