Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Missouri. You will provide patient care through medically prescribed OT programs, aligned with state practice acts and regulation, and support department growth through special projects.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited OT degree, current license or eligibility, and a current BLS certification. NBOTC optional; emergency responsiveness is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state; temporary license up to 90 days allowed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by organizing and conducting prescribed OT programs.
• Promote growth and development of the OT department by assisting in special projects and coordinating activities.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.

Displays treatment skills practicing within the scope of State Practice Act and in compliance with all rules and regulations with National Board and governing bodies in the state of practice. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and/or coordinating activities in patient care programs.

Position Details:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state, may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.
• Experience:
• Certifications: Current BLS through the American Heart Association
• Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations
• Preferred Certifications: National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy
