Job summary

Medical City Denton, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an Occupational Therapist PRN to join our care team on-site in Denton. You will evaluate patients, create individualized therapy plans, and provide hands-on interventions aimed at restoring independence and quality of life.

Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure comprehensive, compassionate care and timely documentation throughout the recovery process.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS within 30 days of start date.
• Requires Bachelor's degree.
• OTR or OT license required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop therapy plans with physicians and care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes.
• Educate patients and families to support understanding and engagement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners for safe transitions of care.
• Lead and mentor therapy assistants or students in line with hospital values.
