Job summary

Theracare INC is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician orders using therapeutic procedures and assistive devices. You will work as part of a dedicated therapy team across Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities or Home Health Care.

The ideal candidate will hold an OT degree, current state license, NBCOT registration, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• OT degree required (BS or higher, licensed).
• Current state license/certification to practice.
• NBCOT certification active.
• Prefer at least 1 year of rehab experience; new grads welcome.
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to provide therapy in SNF, outpatient, LTC or home health settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients per physician orders using therapeutic procedures and devices.
• Collaborate with a therapy team to provide rehab services across settings.
• Contribute to care in SNF, outpatient, LTC or home health care facilities.

Qualifications

The Occupational Therapist would evaluate and treat patients, in accordance with the orders from the physician, through the use of therapeutic procedures and assistive devices intended to maximize functional potential in all areas of a patient's life. The Occupational Therapist will work as a member of a team providing support and information within the area of Occupational Therapy. The Occupational Therapist will provide therapy services in locations including, but not limited to, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities or Home Health Care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Occupational Therapy

Current state license/certification

Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board

Prefer minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitation

New grads welcome to apply

Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills

Willingness to provide therapy services in locations including, but not limited to, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities or Home Health Care

Demonstrate competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in specific therapy discipline

Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
