Job summary

StoneSprings Hospital Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist PRN to join our care team in Virginia. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized therapy plans with physicians, and deliver evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.

You will monitor progress, update plans as needed, and educate patients and families to enhance engagement and recovery, while collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe transitions of care and quality experiences.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment start date
• OT degree/eligibility in Virginia
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients' functional abilities and needs, developing therapy plans with physicians and care team
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence

Job Summary and Qualifications

Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, you will evaluate needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands‑on treatment that supports recovery through every stage of healing. Your role will include:

• Evaluating each patient's functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence‑based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
• Leading by example - providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare's mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (OT) Occupational Therapist
• Bachelors Degree
