Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist PRN to help patients regain their independence and confidence. In this role, you will evaluate patient needs, develop customized therapy plans, and deliver compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.

• Develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions.

Job Summary

Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. You will work closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, evaluating needs, developing individualized care plans, and providing hands‑on treatment that supports recovery through every stage of healing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver skilled, evidence‑based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
• Lead by example—providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

No Travel Required

All clinical sessions are performed on‑site at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital.
