Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to independently perform evaluations and deliver therapy services aligned with physician orders. The role supports rehabilitation by developing and implementing OT treatment plans to restore function and independence across multiple patient populations.

Qualified candidates hold NC OT licensure or eligibility, CPR certification, and can complete orientation covering pediatric, adult, and geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in NC as an Occupational Therapist or state licensure examination eligible.
• CPR certification required through American Heart Association or American Red Cross; obtain within 30 days if not current.
• Competency-based orientation covering pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test; includes walking, standing, lifting, bending, etc.
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Experienced: $10,000

New Grad: $7,500

Works independently to provide occupational therapy evaluations and therapy services to patients as ordered by a physician, consistent with agency policies and procedures, standards of practice, and regulations as directed by theRehab Director of IredellMemorial Hospital. Develops and administers occupational therapy treatment programs to facilitate rehabilitation of physically disabled patients and to maximize function and independence.

Shift: PRN, rotational weekends and holidays required.

Requirements

• Current licensure in NC as an Occupational Therapist or state licensure examination eligible.
• CPR certification required through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If not currently certified, must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a competency based orientation which includes age and population specific skills for the area of practice in which the OT will be working, and addresses the growth and development needs for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
