Role Overview

This PRN Occupational Therapist provides skilled evaluation and treatment services in an acute care hospital setting, supporting patients with orthopedic, surgical, oncology, cardiac, and medical conditions. The role involves developing treatment plans, educating patients and families, collaborating with healthcare teams, delegating tasks, and documenting care in accordance with departmental policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and implement individualized treatment plans considering discharge needs and appropriate equipment.
• Educate, collaborate, and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers, making referrals as necessary.
• Delegate interventions to assistants, techs, and students based on their skill levels.
• Complete accurate documentation of services provided and perform assessments, reassessments, and consultations.

Qualifications And Skills

• Licensed or registered Occupational Therapist (OT) with a Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred).
• No prior experience required; supervision experience is not mandatory.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
