Job summary

Medical Center SE Texas Port Arthur seeks an Occupational Therapist to join our hospital team. The clinician will provide occupational therapy services to patients through initial assessments, treatment plans, and interventions in accordance with hospital policies and applicable law.

The candidate must hold a BS or MS in Occupational Therapy and be licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas, with department-specific certifications such as ACLS/BLS/NRP as required.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Occupational Therapy (BS or MS) from an accredited program.
• Licensed or licensure eligible to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas.
• Certification level courses (ACLS, BLS, NRP, etc.) as per department competencies.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy services to patients per plan and physician orders.
• Conducts initial assessments, develops treatment plans and implements OT interventions.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies and applicable state law and regulations.

Education

Graduate of accredited Occupational Therapy, BS or MS degree

Licensed or licensure eligible as an Occupational Therapist by State of Texas

Certification level courses (ACLS, BLS, NRP, etc.) as per department specific competencies

The Occupational Therapist is a skilled member of the health care team and provides occupational therapy services to patients

through the use of initial assessments, physical gains, occupational therapy procedures and interventions in accordance with the

established policies and procedures in the hospital and applicable law.
