Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a part-time PRN Occupational Therapist to perform assessments, develop intervention plans, and deliver therapy services across settings including clinics, homes, and schools in North Wilkesboro, NC. The role requires a Bachelor's in OT, state licensure, CPR certification, and one year of OT experience.

Preferred is an advanced degree (AOTA) and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
• M.A. or Doctorate (accreditation AOTA) preferred.
• One year of experience in occupational therapy.
• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the applicable state with current licensure.
• CPR certification every two years.
• Valid applicable state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized tests such as manual muscle testing and goniometry; teach OT procedures to patient and family.
• Performs both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team; provides written summary for team plan.
• Plan intervention strategies and communicate with families about child's strengths and weaknesses; may work in homes, agencies, preschools or clinics.
• Provide OT treatment services including neuro-developmental and sensory motor therapy, developmental stimulation, home programming, equipment demos, or other modalities.
• Document goals and progress; participate in IFSP as needed.
• Participate in chart review for quality assurance; attend workshops and update instruments/tools.
• Attend scheduled staff, CDSA, or other committee meetings as needed.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

• Responsible for the performance of specialized tests, such as manual muscle testing, goniometry and teaching occupational therapy procedures to the patient, family and other health personnel.
• Performs both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team members. Provides written summary of diagnostic findings to be incorporated into team plan.
• Plans intervention strategies and communicates effectively with families regarding the child's strengths and weaknesses; work may be performed in homes, agencies, preschools or clinics.
• Provides occupational therapy treatment services including neuro-developmental and sensory motor therapy, developmental stimulation, home programming, equipment demonstration, or other treatment modality to enhance sensory motor functioning and general developmental status.
• Provides documentation of goals and objectives for therapy as well as the course and progress of interventions with the patient. Participates in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) as needed.
• Participates in chart review of clinical records for quality assurance. Attends relevant workshops and updates instruments/tools to ensure most beneficial practices for the population served.
• Attends scheduled staff, CDSA, or other committee meetings as needed.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Hours and Schedule

Hours per week: 10. Schedule: PRN.

Pay Range

$49.00 - $49.00 per hour.
