Department: 37503 Lexington Medical Center - Outpatient Rehabilitation

Status: Part time

Benefits eligible: No

Hours per week: 4

Schedule is predominantly Monday through Friday with occasional need for weekend assistance (<5 times per year).

Pay Range: $49.00 - $49.00

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
  • M.A. or Doctorate (accreditation AOTA) preferred.
  • Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the applicable state with current licensure.
  • CPR Certification every two years.
  • Valid applicable state driver's license.
What You'll Do
  • Perform specialized tests such as manual muscle testing, goniometry and teach occupational therapy procedures to patients, families and other health personnel.
  • Conduct both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team members, provide written summaries of diagnostic findings, and incorporate them into team plans.
  • Plan intervention strategies and communicate effectively with families regarding the child’s strengths and weaknesses; work may occur in homes, agencies, preschools or clinics.
  • Provide occupational therapy treatment services including neuro‑developmental and sensory motor therapy, developmental stimulation, home programming, equipment demonstration, or other modalities to enhance sensory motor functioning and general developmental status.
  • Document goals, objectives, treatment course and progress with the patient; participate in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) as needed.
  • Participate in chart review of clinical records for quality assurance, attend relevant workshops, update instruments and tools to ensure best practices for the population served.
  • Attend scheduled staff, CDSA, or other committee meetings as needed.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
