Job summary

Medical City Lewisville is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients' functional abilities, develop individualized therapy plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team, and deliver evidence-based interventions to promote independence and recovery.

You will monitor progress, document outcomes, educate patients and families, and mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding our mission of care and excellence in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• OT – Occupational Therapist credentialing or license as applicable in Texas.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding and engagement in recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care and exceptional patient experiences.
• Lead by example by guiding therapy assistants or students and upholding the hospital's mission and values.
