HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist PRN to join a dedicated team. We are currently looking for an ambitious Occupational Therapist to our team. As our Therapist, you will be a skilled member of the health care team and provide therapeutic services to patients using initial assessments, therapeutic procedures and interventions in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital and applicable law. Your duties and responsibilities may include:
You will treat disabilities, injuries and disease using therapeutic techniques according to prescriptions from a physician, performs testing and evaluation procedures on patients.
You will record and document patient observation, treatment and changes in condition. You will also monitor, analyze and review clinical data. Also, you will reevaluate and modify treatment plans and goals based upon patient performance.
You will communicate clearly and provide explanation of care in a way that can be easily understood by patients and their families. Also, ensure patient's family is informed of patient status.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters preferred.
Experience in appropriate healthcare setting preferred.
Current Florida Occupational Therapist license.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA (American Heart Association).
Current FIM (Functional Independence Measure) required (within 90 days of hire).
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
