Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s St. David’s Georgetown Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients, design individualized plans, and provide hands-on therapy to promote recovery. Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that improves independence and quality of life.

Provide education to patients and families, monitor progress, and contribute to a culture of excellence and patient-centered care within a premier Texas hospital system.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered) licensure required.
• Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and develop therapy plans with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure thorough documentation reflecting outcomes.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence and engagement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners for safe transitions of care and excellent patient experiences.
• Lead and mentor therapy assistants or students, upholding the hospital’s mission and standards.

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.

• Leading- providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
