Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients, plan individualized treatment, and implement plans addressing diverse diagnoses across our care settings in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

You will document thoroughly, code appropriately, and communicate with referring providers and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Occasional training sessions for staff and students are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an occupational therapist in IL or WI (as required).
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan treatment for a variety of patient diagnoses.
• Maintain thorough electronic documentation with appropriate coding.
• Communicate with other disciplines and referring providers to improve outcomes.
• Participate in PI and CQI processes and mentor new staff.
• Plan and conduct lectures and training for medical staff, students and community groups.
