Job summary

HTU seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist in Oklahoma to evaluate patients referred by providers, develop individualized plans, and deliver pediatric therapy to enhance child performance. You will collaborate with the care team, document thoroughly, and stay current with pediatric OT practices.

Candidates should have OT program graduation and an Oklahoma license or eligibility, with pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited OT program.
• License to practice Occupational Therapy in Oklahoma or eligibility within 3–6 months.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations upon provider referral and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Deliver individualized occupational therapy treatments to maximize child performance.
• Collaborate with patient care team, document timely and accurately, stay current with techniques.
• Evaluate need for, order, and/or fabricate therapeutic equipment as indicated.
• Participate in staff trainings, student observations, and family training opportunities.

Job description

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform patient evaluations upon provider referral and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable long and short term goals (20%).
• Deliver individualized occupational therapy treatments to maximize child performance in a professional and compassionate manner (50%).
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the patient care team, maintain timely and accurate documentation, and stay current with occupational therapy techniques through research and continuing education (15%).
• Evaluate need for, order, and/or fabricate therapeutic equipment as indicated by patient needs (10%).
• Participate in staff trainings, student observations, clinical instruction of students and interns, and family training opportunities (5%).

About You

The company is looking for candidates with:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
• Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English.
• Occupational Therapist License from the State of Oklahoma or proven eligibility for licensing within 3-6 months of employment with a temporary license.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
