Qualifications

  • Current Oklahoma OT license or eligibility; licensure must be obtained within 6 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document medical necessity and communicate with families and team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; meet documentation and billing expectations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary pediatric therapy team.

Responsibilities

  • Review physician referrals and select evaluation procedures.
  • Evaluate children across OT domains and identify factors affecting independence.
  • Develop individualized care plans from assessments and family concerns.
  • Establish short- and long-term goals and determine service frequency/duration.
  • Provide skilled OT interventions based on each child's needs and goals.
  • Communicate progress and recommendations to families for carryover outside therapy.
  • Collaborate with Speech, Physical Therapists, and OT assistants.
  • Maintain timely documentation supporting medical necessity and payer requirements.
  • Maintain a full-time caseload including insurance, school-based, and private-pay services.
  • Manage clinical responsibilities, documentation, and scheduling per clinic standards.
  • May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students.

Occupational Therapist
Position Overview

Quest Pediatric Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our collaborative pediatric therapy team. Our Occupational Therapists help children develop the skills they need to participate more independently and successfully in their everyday lives.

This position provides evaluation and skilled occupational therapy services using a child- and family-centered approach. Our OTs work alongside other therapists, families, and members of the child's care team to develop meaningful goals and individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret physician referrals and select appropriate standardized and non-standardized evaluation procedures.
  • Evaluate children across relevant occupational therapy domains and identify factors that may be limiting independence, participation, or functional performance.
  • Integrate standardized assessment results, skilled clinical observation, and child and family concerns to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Establish appropriate short- and long-term goals and recommend frequency and duration of occupational therapy services.
  • Provide skilled, evidence-informed occupational therapy interventions based on each child's individual needs and goals.
  • Partner with families by communicating goals, progress, recommendations, and strategies that support carryover outside of therapy.
  • Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, and other members of the child's care team.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation that supports medical necessity and meets payer and organizational requirements.
  • Maintain a full-time caseload that may include children receiving services through insurance, school-based services, consultation, or private-pay models.
  • Manage clinical responsibilities, documentation, and scheduling in accordance with Quest's clinician efficiency and billing expectations.
  • May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • May provide clinical supervision and mentorship to occupational therapy students.
Qualifications & Licensure
  • Current Oklahoma Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for Oklahoma licensure. New graduates who are eligible to sit for the national certification examination are encouraged to apply. Required licensure must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document medical necessity and communicate effectively with families, interdisciplinary team members, and other stakeholders involved in a child's care.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet documentation, billing, and clinician efficiency expectations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary pediatric therapy team.
