Job summary

Essentia Health South University Clinic is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat adult patients as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will educate patients and caregivers, develop individualized plans, and ensure cohesive care with physicians and leaders.

The role supports a full caseload with admin duties and potential clinical instructor opportunities. The schedule runs weekdays from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm with no weekend or holiday rotation required.

Qualifications

• OT education: Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• PT education: Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate in Physical Therapy from a physical therapy accredited program.

This position provides services as part of a care team assembled to assure optimal clinical and financial outcomes, under the direction of Essentia Health management and the referring physician.Education Qualifications:OT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited programPT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degrees from a physical therapy accredited programPT/OT Key Responsibilities:Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.Provide all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative dutiesDemonstrate appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides, volunteers)Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal clinical and financial outcomes.Work closely with Essentia Health leadership and coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.Comply with organizational policies and procedures and the code of conductMeet professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practiceWork where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allowsMay serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would benefit patient careOutpatient Pelvic Floor:Completion of Herman & Wallace Level I certification, or an alternative advanced training approved by Essentia Health leadership (may work with leadership on a training plan if you are not currently trained).Schedule would be weekdays between 7:00am - 7:00pm.
