Job summary

Essentia Health in Fargo, ND seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and treat patients using AOTA guidelines within our in-hospital care teams. The role includes education for patients and caregivers and discharge planning, with full administrative support for a large caseload.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to leadership initiatives, and may serve as a clinical instructor. Weekend rotation occurs every four weeks, with on-call duties and compensation.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state licensure as Occupational Therapist.
• Education in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate).
• Flexibility to work weekend rotation every 4 weeks.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, treat and implement care per AOTA standards and Essentia Health policies.
• Provide therapy evaluation, develop treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.
• Document, billing, scheduling, and other administrative duties for full caseload.
• Collaborate with leadership and referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.
• May serve as clinical instructor and participate in department/therapy committees.

The schedule consists of an in-hospital shift on Saturday (full day) and an on-call shift on Sunday (8am - 12pm), with on-call compensation of $60.
