Job summary

LionStone Care in Cincinnati, OH seeks an Occupational Therapist (per diem) to plan, direct, and evaluate therapy services for residents in a nursing facility setting. The role requires leading clinical programs, coordinating with staff, and ensuring compliance with OT standards.

The candidate must hold a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and a valid OT license, with strong leadership and communication skills. Telehealth delivery and daily on-site duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in this state.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs of the OT service.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct our occupational therapy services, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities.
• Communicate with staff from related departments when planning therapy services.
• Develop and maintain occupational therapy standards.
• Assist in standardizing the methods in which occupational therapy will be accomplished.
• Review occupational therapy policies, procedures, manuals, job descriptions, a minimum of annually.
• Interpret occupational therapy policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, as necessary.
• Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments, as necessary.
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants in accordance with state & board policies, and review treatment/documentation.
• Administer therapy services via Telehealth as required to maintain compliance.
