Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring is seeking an Occupational Therapist for part-time per diem day shifts. The role involves evaluating and treating patients across the lifespan, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Requires an OT degree (MS/BS), Maryland state licensure, CPR certification, and completion of supervised fieldwork. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with an M.S. or B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board.
• American Heart Association CPR certified within probationary period (6 months).
• Successful completion of at least six months supervised fieldwork approved by the educational institution granting the degree.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients referred for occupational therapy in accordance with Maryland law and AOTA Code of Ethics.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and families to ensure quality of care.
• Provide assessment and care for patients from neonates through geriatrics.
• May undergo additional training for special programs or patient groups as directed by guidelines.
• Support Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital mission.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assessing and treating patients referred for occupational therapy in an effective and professional manner while adhering to Maryland State law and the American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics
• Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, staff and families to ensure quality of care
• Therapists provide assessment and care for patients of all ages from neonates through the geriatric patients
• Additional training may be required to work with special programs, procedures or specified groups of patients as determined by department guidelines and best practice
• Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital

What you will need

Pay range

Pay range: $54.97 Per Diem Flat Rate Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
