Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team at the Newark campus. You will primarily care for patients in acute care, with assignments in bedside, ICUs and in small gyms, providing patient-centered therapy.

You'll work with a supportive OT team, enjoy interdisciplinary mentoring, and have weekend hours with possible weekday hours. Prior OT education and Delaware licensure are required; CPR is required and AOTA is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensure or license eligibility in the State of Delaware as an Occupational Therapist.
• CPR Certification required.
• AOTA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in acute care at Christiana Hospital Newark campus.
• See patients in bedside, intensive care units and small gyms.
• Work with a dynamic OT team in a patient-centered facility.
• Engage in ongoing mentoring and interdisciplinary interaction.

Christiana Care is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to work with a dynamic team in this patient centered facility. In this position you will primarily care for patients in acute care at the Christiana Hospital Newark campus. Patients are seen in this large hospital in various settings including bedside, multiple intensive cares and small gyms. This position will include weekend hours and the opportunity for weekday hours.

This exciting position allows you to see a large variety of patient populations including Neuro, Trauma, Cardiac, Orthopedic and General Debility while working with a supportive team of OTs. The OT experience at Christiana Care offers a strong team approach, frequent interdisciplinary interaction, ongoing mentoring, state of the art equipment and professional level educational opportunities.

Education and Experience Requirements

• BS, MS, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
• Licensure or license eligibility in the State of Delaware as an Occupational Therapist

This is a flat rate position. Any individual hired into this position will be paid $59.00 per hour. In addition, a 10% shift differential will be paid for hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
