Job summary

Select Medical in Davenport, Iowa, is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a PRN / Per Diem schedule with no weekend requirements. This inpatient role at a critical illness recovery hospital focuses on discharge planning, patient education, and adaptive equipment for post-ICU patients.

The ideal candidate holds current state OT licensure and BLS, with a willingness to supervise OTAs and students. An orientation program and advancement opportunities are available; 401k eligibility applies

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), as well as OT and COTA students.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
