Advanced Neurologic Rehabilitation in Chandler, AZ seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver evidence-based care, engage patients, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes.

You will evaluate and treat patients with neurologic conditions, document progress, and participate in care planning, ensuring high-quality patient experiences in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy
  • Current OT license in the state in which they practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience with adults with brain/spine injury and neurodegenerative conditions

Responsibilities

  • Performs clinic care and occupational therapist duties in accordance with the needs of the clinic and patients
  • Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, cognitive, neurologic, psychosocial, and functional needs of ANR’s patient population
  • Establishes occupational therapy interventions based upon the evaluation and examination, physician orders, and patient’s goals for therapy
  • Competently performs appropriate occupational therapy techniques and procedures
  • Provides for continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals. Makes recommendations for needed patient care equipment prior to patient discharge and assists with acquisition of same as appropriate
  • Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames
  • Submits all patient billing at the end of each day
  • Instructs patients/family members in home programs
  • Demonstrates effective time management
  • Complies with quality improvement standards

Requirements
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy
  2. Current occupational therapy license in the state in which they practice
  3. Current CPR certification
BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age specific/appropriate for patients served
  2. Basic computer knowledge
  3. Appropriate interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with patients/families, and other health care professionals
  4. Experience working with adults with acquired brain/spine injury and neuro degenerative conditions.
