Job summary

Advanced Neurologic Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated occupational therapist to deliver outstanding, evidence-based patient care in Arizona. You will engage patients individually and coordinate with the department to support recovery.

The position requires graduation from an approved OT program, a current OT license in the state, and CPR certification, with strong teamwork to collaborate with other health care professionals.

• Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy.

• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinic care and OT duties according to clinic and patient needs.
• Utilizes patient care protocols for physical, cognitive, neurologic, psychosocial, and functional needs.
• Establishes OT interventions based on evaluation, orders, and patient goals.
• Executes OT techniques and procedures competently.
• Ensures continuity of care through written and verbal communication with health professionals.
• Notes findings, progress, and procedures within established time frames.
• Submits patient billing daily.
• Instructs patients/family on home programs.
• Demonstrates effective time management.
• Complies with quality improvement standards.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible the ensuring the delivery of outstanding occupational therapy service including evidence-based patient care and patient engagement on an individual level and departmentally.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL: TREATMENT

1. Performs clinic care and occupational therapist duties in accordance with the needs of the clinic and patients.
2. Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, cognitive, neurologic, psychosocial, and functional needs of ANR’s patient population.
3. Establishes occupational therapy interventions based upon the evaluation and examination, physician orders, and patient’s goals for therapy.
4. Competently performs appropriate occupational therapy techniques and procedures.
5. Provides for continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals. Makes recommendations for needed patient care equipment prior to patient discharge and assists with acquisition of same as appropriate.
6. Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames.
7. Submits all patient billing at the end of each day.
8. Instructs patients/family members in home programs.
9. Demonstrates effective time management.
10. Complies with quality improvement standards.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy
2. Current occupational therapy license in the state in which they practice
3. Current CPR certification
