NovaCare Kids in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a PRN pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes evaluating and treating pediatric patients with a range of conditions and collaborating with physicians and therapists.

This PRN position begins January 2027 for maternity leave coverage. The OT will provide individualized therapy programs, document care, and stay current with evidence-based practice, complying with state laws and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy.
• State occupational therapist license (or eligibility).
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help pediatric patients reach their goals.
• Evaluate and treat a variety of pediatric patients with diverse diagnoses.
• Develop objectives and plans for therapy with referring physicians; determine frequency and duration.
• Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and complete documentation.
• Stay current with OT research and apply evidence-based practice.

Position: Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics (PRN)

Location: 5659 Stadium Drive, Ste 2, Kalamazoo, MI 49009

Schedule: Monday-Friday between 8am-6pm

Compensation: Based on Experience

NovaCare Kids is seeking a PRN pediatric occupational therapist (OTR) to join our fun, collaborative, multi-disciplinary team!

This is a PRN position that will begin in January 2027 for coverage and maternity leave.

We evaluate and treat a variety of pediatric patients with diagnoses ranging from sensory processing, emotional regulation, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorders, feeding disorders, visual motor deficits and more.

• High Standard of Care: Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.
• Collaborative Approach: Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
• Leadership: Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and complete patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements.
• Innovative Opportunities: Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.
• Best Practices: Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
