Job description

The Couch Method is a warm, collaborative multidisciplinary practice seeking an Occupational Therapist who is curious, thoughtful, and excited to grow alongside other clinicians.

Our practice is built around the belief that excellent clinical work requires both strong relationships and nuanced thinking. We value clinicians who are interested in understanding the whole person—not simply identifying symptoms or applying a uniform intervention. Our team works collaboratively across disciplines, with opportunities to think alongside psychologists, psychotherapists, speech-language pathologists, and other clinicians. Consultation, curiosity, humility, and ongoing learning are central to our culture.

The position is primarily pediatric, with opportunities to work with adolescents and adults depending on the clinician’s interests and experience. Clinical work may include sensory processing and integration, nervous-system regulation, neurodevelopment, executive functioning, motor development, interoception, and the intersection between emotional and physical functioning.

We place a strong emphasis on professional growth. Clinicians receive supervision and consultation and are encouraged to continue developing their areas of interest and expertise, and the practice provides a continuing education stipend for employees. We are looking for someone who enjoys asking good questions, thinking creatively, integrating emerging research with clinical judgment, and learning from colleagues across disciplines.

The Couch Method is entering an exciting period of growth and will soon be moving into a new, state-of-the-art clinical building designed specifically around the needs of our patients and clinicians. The new space will include a thoughtfully designed occupational therapy gym, a half-court basketball court, and dedicated spaces for multidisciplinary treatment and collaboration.

Just as importantly, we care deeply about the kind of environment in which people work. We strive to create a culture that is warm, relational, intellectually engaging, supportive, and grounded in integrity. We value clinicians who care about their patients and their colleagues, who are comfortable with complexity, and who recognize that excellent clinical work involves continual learning, reflection, and growth.

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our investment in both the professional and personal well-being of our clinicians. Benefits include medical health insurance contributions, as well as dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) with a 4% employer match, paid time off, a continuing education support stipend, and ongoing supervision and multidisciplinary consultation. We also value flexibility and recognize the importance of creating a sustainable clinical schedule.

The position includes a defined pathway to salaried compensation following an initial caseload-building period, allowing both the clinician and the practice to establish a consistent, sustainable caseload before transitioning to a salary structure.

This is an opportunity to join a growing practice and help shape the continued development of occupational therapy within a genuinely collaborative clinical environment. Please check out of website: couchmethodtherapy.com
