Job summary

Pediatric POST in Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for a full-time or part-time, on-site role. The OT will provide individualized, developmentally appropriate services to infants, children and adolescents in a play-based, neuroaffirming, family-centered environment.

Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, skilled interventions, progress documentation, caregiver education, and collaboration with families and an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Current, unrestricted Illinois OT license.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sensory processing, regulation, motor development, self-care and functional skills.
• Strong communication, organization and clinical reasoning skills.
• Commitment to a neuro-affirming, strengths-based approach.
• Ability to collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to provide services during after-school hours.
• Experience with Autism, ADHD, developmental delays or sensory processing differences is a plus.

Responsibilities

Pediatric POST is a neuroaffirming pediatric therapy clinic with locations in Crystal Lake and Arlington Heights, Illinois, providing developmentally based physical, occupational, and speech therapies in a play-based environment created for children. The clinic’s mental health team offers diagnostic evaluations for ADHD, learning disabilities, and autism, as well as individual social work sessions and social groups that support the whole child. Pediatric POST focuses on creating a safe, supportive setting that encourages learning, relationship-building, and growth so each child can reach their fullest potential. The team understands the challenges families face and offers flexible therapy times, including evenings and weekends, to improve access to care and promote independence in life skills.

Role Description

Pediatric POST is seeking a passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist for a full-time or part-time, on-site position. The OT will provide individualized, developmentally appropriate services to infants, children and adolescents in a play-based, child-led, neuroaffirming, and family-centered environment.
