Job summary

Recover-Care in Salina, KS seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to SNF patients, helping them reach maximum functioning within their capabilities. You will design individualized therapy programs, maintain accurate patient records, and collaborate with the care team to support patients’ abilities to function in daily living and their community.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited OT program and active registration; travel may be required

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program and current licensure/registration.
• Proficiency in evaluating SNF patients and planning therapy.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and care teams.
• Ability to navigate state and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Administers and writes evaluations of assigned patients.
• Maintains timely and accurate patient records and reports.
• Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.
• Administers treatment programs to increase patients' levels of functioning.
• Designs individualized therapy for adult learning-disabled patients.
• Provides prevention therapy and teaches energy conservation and safety concepts.
• Develops home programs and instructs families.
• Participates in patient support groups with the team.
