Job summary

Westside Children’s Therapy Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist for part-time evenings in our Rockford clinic.

You will assess pediatric clients, develop interventions to improve fine motor skills, cognition, language, and self-care, while supporting families to reinforce treatment at home. The role offers a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with mentorship and opportunities to specialize in Sensory Integration and related pediatric therapies.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Successfully pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• OT licensure or license eligible, in the state of Illinois

Responsibilities

• Assess clients for adaptations and use of special equipment when necessary
• Identify and implement therapeutic interventions that help develop client’s fine motor skills, cognition, language skills, self care skills, regulation, and more
• Provide support and guidance to the clients’ family enabling them to foster the behaviors and practices implemented in treatment
