Job summary

Wayside is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to support our Milford DMH IHBTC Team. This 20-hour position offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities to develop OT services within a family-centered program.

You will assess youth, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with treatment teams to meet goals across home, community, and office settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Massachusetts licensure or licensure in progress.
• Experience serving youth with significant mental health needs.
• Driving in the community required; valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work in home, community, and office settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments, treatment plans, and direct OT interventions for youth.
• Collaborate with treatment teams to set and monitor therapy goals.
• Work with a diverse team to support treatment plans, safety planning and crisis intervention.
• Provide consultation for OT interventions focused on functional goals.
• Educate and support clinical staff, youth and families/caregivers.
• Provide home strategies and in-home services when applicable.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - PART-TIME

Community Services - Milford

Salary Range: $32,500.00 - $37,500.00/year (based on a 20-hour position) depending on experience + sign-on bonus (half paid after 6 months of employment and half paid after 1 year of employment/pro-rated for part-time).

Wayside is looking for an Occupational Therapist to work with our DMH IHBTC Team, which has been recognized across the state for their hard work and dedication to families. This is a part time position, based in our Milford Site. Wayside is seeking creative, flexible, energetic individuals to provide occupational therapy as part of our services, who are referred by the Department of Mental Health. Must be committed to family centered practice.

What You Will Do:

• Provide assessments, treatment plan development, and direct intervention to any youth who are seeking OT support within their IHBTC service.
• Collaborate with the treatment teams to help set therapy goals and ensure these goals are being met.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse team who provide their educational, professional and lived experience to support a young adult and theirfamilies through treatment plan intervention, safety planning and crisis intervention.
• Provide consultation for direct intervention that is focused on addressing the functional goals of the client.
• Provide education and consult support to clinical staff, the young adults, and their families/caregivers.
• Provide home strategies and recommendations to families as well as in home services if applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Massachusetts licensure or are obtaining it prior to start date.
• Experience serving youth with significant mental health needs.
• Experience addressing functioning in the home setting or community setting.
• Experience working with diverse population of individuals.
• Driving in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
