Job summary

UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s in Ohio seeks an Occupational Therapist to support patients across the Cleveland and Westlake locations. The role involves evaluating rehabilitation needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and guiding patients toward recovery.

You will educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and assist with documentation and department operations while ensuring PHI compliance and high-quality care.

Position will travel between the Cleveland and Westlake locations

A Brief Overview

Organizes and conducts Occupational Therapy program to facilitate the rehabilitation of people with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities. The Occupational Therapist directs the patient's participation in selected activities/treatments to restore, re-enforce and correct pathology to promote and/or maintain good health.

What You Will Do

• Performs evaluation(s) and develops an effective treatment plan appropriate to a patient’s rehabilitation needs within the care continuum.
• Performs effective treatment techniques in a competent manner.
• Educates patient/family/caregiver in applicable health information, treatment and prevention.
• Initiates and participates in the discharge planning process.
• Performs other department activities such as, but not limited to documentation, billing, support of department operations, etc.
