Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Willoughby, Ohio seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients, develop tailored rehabilitation plans within the care continuum, and promote recovery through targeted activities.

You will apply effective treatment techniques, educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and support documentation, billing, and PHI-compliant practices.

Job description

A Brief Overview

Organizes and conducts Occupational Therapy program to facilitate the rehabilitation of people with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities. The Occupational Therapist directs the patient's participation in selected activities/treatments to restore, re-enforce and correct pathology to promote and/or maintain good health.

What You Will Do

• Performs evaluation(s) and develops an effective treatment plan appropriate to a patient’s rehabilitation needs within the care continuum.
• Performs effective treatment techniques in a competent manner.
• Educates patient/family/caregiver in applicable health information, treatment and prevention.
• Initiates and participates in the discharge planning process.
• Performs other department activities such as, but not limited to documentation, billing, support of department operations, etc.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
