Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist II for outpatient work at North Hospital in Richmond. The role conducts evaluations on referred patients and plans a comprehensive treatment program including discharge planning and education for patients and families.

Responsibilities include documenting outcomes per guidelines and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Opportunities exist to supervise OT/OTA students and provide staff training as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Occupational Therapist
• Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Masters or Doctoral Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations on referred patients.
• Plan and implement a comprehensive treatment program including discharge planning.
• Provide patient/family education and recommendations for follow-up or continued care.
• Document results of OT evaluations and services in accordance with guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and as needed supervise students or staff.
