Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in McHenry, IL is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a PRN opportunity in an assisted living community. The role offers autonomy with flexible hours and competitive hourly pay between $48 and $55 based on experience.

You will assess patients, create and implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, document progress, and advocate for clients' needs while supporting community resources and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or license eligible.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with patient-centered care.
• Ability to educate patients and families and collaborate with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
• Treatment and Education: Create personalized treatment plans and educate clients and families on activities and adaptive strategies.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and plans in compliance with standards.
• Advocacy and Support: Support access to community resources and accommodations for clients.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist patients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
