Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a weekend Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at the Corning Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Corning, New York. This per diem position offers flexible weekend hours and full support from a skilled rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities include evaluating residents, designing rehab plans, reducing pain through exercises, supervising PT aides, and ensuring patient confidentiality. NY OT license and accreditation are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.
