Role Overview

This position involves serving students aged 3-21 with physical, social-emotional, and developmental challenges in a school-based setting. The therapist implements treatment plans aligned with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), focusing on functional and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and executes treatment plans to improve student outcomes, documenting progress through assessments.
• Collaborates with educators, therapists, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Prepares reports and goals for annual reviews, maintaining compliance with state guidelines.
• Participates in school meetings such as IEPs, evaluations, and reviews.
• Conducts screenings and evaluations to determine therapy needs related to motor skills, ADLs, adaptive equipment, executive function, and self-regulation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program.
• Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid, unencumbered state occupational therapy license and current CPR certification.
• Preferred pediatric clinical experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and professional skills to manage a high workload effectively.
• Demonstrates compassion, empathy, and respect for students and staff.
