Brief Overview

Responsible for the daily coordination and delivery of occupational therapy services that focus on conditions and health diagnoses, implementing specific treatment programs for individuals and patient groups according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy and the established objectives of the department.

What You Will Do

• Demonstrate knowledge of age‑specific factors and perform satisfactorily with patients from infant to geriatrics as noted on unit specific guidelines and competencies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs, evaluate patients, and gather data from records, interviews, observations, and team members.
• Use selected activities or tasks to promote health and achieve treatment goals, establishing and modifying intervention goals based on ongoing evaluations.
• Provide direct therapy services in various functional settings and strategies.
• Plan therapy within the patient’s individual capabilities and coordinate with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans.
• Prepare required documentation such as evaluation results, individual treatment plans, progress notes, and related reports.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other team members about status, progress, and needs.
• Establishrapport and cooperate with interdisciplinary team members throughout the patient’s program.
• Enhance professional growth through educational programs, literature, in‑service meetings, workshops, and by sharing knowledge with coworkers.
• Participate in program development of the department.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice upon hire.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience

• 1–3 years clinical patient care experience.
